From Kindergarten all the way through higher education, Mountain House offers our residents and their kids access to the highest quality schools. Located within the esteemed Lammersville School District, the Mountain House community strives to ensure that education is at the heart of everything we do. Students can walk or bike to Sebastian Questa, Bethany, or Wicklund Elementary Schools, and the new Altamont Elementary and Mountain House High School give students access to even more incredible schools right in their own backyard.
We love showing off our schools, so let us tell you a little bit about each of them! We know that you’ll appreciate them just as much as we do!
Altamont Elementary School – Altamont Elementary is the newest elementary school (K-8) in Mountain House and is located at the corner of West Saint Francis Avenue and Rockridge Street in Altamont Village to keep up with the demand of incoming students, particularly in transitional Kindergarten.
Bethany Elementary School – The second school to open in Mountain House, Bethany Elementary (K-8) is a community dedicated to setting high expectations for academic achievement, student involvement, and citizenship. Bethany is the highest scoring school in the Lammersville Unified School District, as well as the highest scoring traditional school in San Joaquin County.
Sebastian Questa Elementary School – Within the award-winning Lammersville Unified School District, Sebastian Questa Elementary (K-8) embraces high academic achievement as reflected by its outstanding 2012 API score of 881. Sebastian Questa embraces the idea that extracurricular and enrichment activities help to improve the educational and social development and experiences of students.
Wicklund Elementary School – Truly at the center of the community, Wicklund Elementary is surrounded by Wicklund Village, enabling students to walk to and from campus. With an outstanding API score of 825 during its first year, and up 12 points in 2012 for a score of 852, Wicklund Elementary is one of the top schools in San Joaquin County.
John C. Kimball High School – The Kimball High School (Grades 9-12) Mission is to prepare students for a successful transition to college and career. “Our curricular program continues to strengthen and our students are demonstrating academic excellence. Kimball students passed the High School Exit Exam (CAHSEE) with pass rates exceeding 89% in both English and Math, and earned a 2012 API score of 801, with a ranking of 8 among all high schools in California (the highest ranking is 10).
Mountain House High School – If you’d like your children to attend a high school within their own community, you’re in luck! Mountain House High School (Grades 9-12) is located at the corner of Mustang Way and Central Parkway. The new 9th-12th grade campus opened for the 2014-2015 school year. Go Mustangs!
San Joaquin Delta College – Located at the south end of Mountain House, San Joaquin Delta College provides higher education to residents and the public, alongside onsite elementary, middle and high school education, ensuring a passionate community culture of lifelong learning.
