Best Books for Kids This Summer

School’s coming to an end for the summer, but your kids’ reading shouldn’t! There’s so much you can do to encourage and cultivate a reading lifestyle. Escape from the heat and make it a library day; Mountain House Library has fantastic summer reading programs. Or take the kids to a bookstore and let them pick out a favorite book and treat at the cafe.

Designate a reading morning or afternoon a couple of times a week. Pack a picnic and some books and hit Central Park or one of the many neighborhood parks. Create themed crafts and art projects. So many possibilities to make it fun! To get your creative juices flowing, we’re sharing a few of our favorite books for grades K-8!
