Memorial Day weekend is fast approaching, and it’s a good time to acknowledge the men and women in uniform who have given the ultimate sacrifice for our country. The three-day weekend is also a great opportunity to spend quality time with the people you love most, so we’ve gathered a few ideas for you and your family to commemorate the holiday and also have a fun time!

Memorial Day Activities
Memorial Day Ceremony in Danville
Honor our fallen service men and women at Danville’s Oak Hill Park starting at 10:30 a.m. Ceremony includes music, guest speakers, and tributes to past and present service members. Details HERE.
Memorial Day at the National Cemetery
Attend the Memorial Day ceremony at the National Cemetery. A parade begins in the Presidio and includes the 191st Army Band, veterans organizations, and guests. A 30-minute ceremony and 21-gun salute follow. More information HERE.
Visit the USS Hornet Museum
The USS Hornet Museum in Alameda will host a special Memorial Day ceremony from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Honor our fallen heroes atop the decommissioned aircraft carrier with a tribute by the Hornet Band and ceremonial wreath toss. Details HERE.
