June 21st is Father’s Day, which means it’s time to celebrate all the amazing dads! 🧔 Instead of navigating crowds and researching which establishments are practicing physical distancing, why not spend quality time with your father figure at home (or virtually)!
We’ve come up with some fun activities you can do with Dad that are quarantine friendly and are sure to put a smile on your faces. 😀
Play Outdoor Games ⚾
Remember when playing catch with Dad was an event? If you’re quarantining with your father, grab a baseball and some mitts for a game of catch! You’ll both get some exercise and have an opportunity to spend some quality time with just you two.
Does your sibling want to join in on the fun? Here is a list of outdoor games that are perfect for all ages!
Recreate Childhood Photos 📸
Dads can be sentimental too! Get your siblings together and recreate one of your favorite childhood photos for your father. Pick a photo to recreate where you are doing a funny pose or you’re wearing really dated outfits to give Dad a good chuckle.
Camp in Your Backyard 🏕
You can still have an adventurous day outdoors with Dad while practicing physical distancing! Why not have a campout in your backyard! Set up a tent, toast some s’mores over the fire pit, and exchange some scary stories. The weather will be warm enough to sleep outside and do some stargazing.
Virtual Game Night 🎮
Is your father the competitive type? Then you should challenge him to a video game over Zoom or on a gaming console with streaming capabilities! Jackbox Games offers a variety of ways you can play hilarious games with multiple people while practicing physical distancing!
Learn Something Together 🤓
You’re never too old to learn something new, and Dad is no exception! Gift him a MasterClass subscription that you can both enjoy together! From science to sports to film, there are THOUSANDS of lessons available online taught by the greatest minds in those subjects.
Host a Burger Competition 🍔
Is your father figure the self-proclaimed “Burger King”? 👑 Fire up the backyard grill and have everyone make their most delicious and unique burger for Dad. Would he rather compete against his kiddos? Have Mom crown the winner!
Watch a Comedy Special 😂
Even though you can’t visit a local comedy show with your papa, you can get your laughs by watching one of the comedy specials on Netflix! They have a variety of comedians to choose from, so you can browse and find one that tickles Dad’s funny bone.
If you’re enjoying the show together from a distance, Scener gives you the option to stream a show at the same time while video chatting with your loved ones.
No matter what activity you do with your dad, we hope you enjoy this special day together and create priceless memories. 🤗
