The Mountain House Public Library, a branch of the Stockton-San Joaquin County library system, is full of virtual resources! Right now, only the lobby is available for in-person visits but with quarantine, now you don’t even have to leave your home to spend a few hours with your child learning a new skill, reading, or just having fun! The library is hosting a plethora of events for the kiddos to attend virtually!
Here is the list of events coming up in October.
Thursday, Oct. 1, 2:30 p.m.
Friday, Oct. 2, 10:30 a.m.
Join us every other Friday for an exclusive fire station tour and storytime.
Monday, Oct. 5, 10:30 a.m.
Bring your little one and enjoy stories, rhymes, songs, and fun all live from the library's Facebook page.
Tuesday, Oct. 6, 4:30 p.m.
Bring a project to the knitting and crocheting group! Come and socialize while you work on a new or ongoing project. From beginners to experts, all levels are welcome. Exchange ideas and learn new techniques as you get to know one another and work on your creations. This will be held on Zoom every Tuesday at 4:30 p.m., until further notice. Please register online and the meeting link will be emailed to you.
Wednesday, Oct. 7, 10:30 a.m.
All About Baby is a half-hour program packed with baby-appropriate developmental FUN which includes fingerplays, storytime, sharing boardbooks, and simple musical engagement. Emphasis is on rhythm, rhyme, and sensory connections, but most of all on having a joyful time with others! Parent/caregiver participation is required. This program is based on "Mother Goose on the Loose" created by Betsy Diamant-Cohen. Check it out on the library's Facebook page!
Wednesday, Oct. 7, 5:00 p.m.
Join Andy Zandy and train like a jedi. Check out our Facebook page at 5 p.m. on October 7th.
