Fall in Love with Female Authors

Pride and Prejudice and a cup of tea

One of the easiest ways to support women is by reading more books written by female authors. Whether you like biographies or fiction, there are so many incredible works by women gracing the shelves of Mountain House Library, that you’re sure to find one that appeals to you. Pro-Tip: Try reading more diverse books, so you can open your mind to many new perspectives!

Support Women-Owned Businesses

There are many ways you can show your support for hardworking, female entrepreneurs. We recommend checking out female makers on Etsy, sharing favorite women-owned businesses—by word-of-mouth or with your social media followers—and using directories to find up-and-coming brands to buy from. Your purchases and encouragement can pave the way for more women to do what they love!

A Love Letter to Women

Facebook homepage

Sometimes all it takes is a simple social media post to show your love and support for women. Take this time to honor someone who has personally inspired you, whether it’s your mother, aunt, grandmother, or sister. Pro Tip: Encourage your friends and followers to keep the trend going, and honor the women in their lives!

If you don’t know the story behind women’s rights, now is the time to learn. Check out some books from the library, or search online to study the history behind the movement! Be sure to explore the historical figures who have advocated for women, such as Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Malala Yousafzai, and Susan B. Anthony. At the end of your journey, you’ll understand why the female movement is so important.

March, March, March
